Public Hearings

7:45 PM  Notice of Intent for an eleven (11) lot residential subdivision with 1763 linear feet of roadway, total area = 14.31 acres at 691 East Washington St., Map 114, Lots 12 & 15 for Edward G. Johnson, P.O. Box 359, Hanson, Hanson, MA represented by Land Planning, Inc., 1115 Main St., Hanson, MA  (DEP #SE175-0477)  (New Hearing)

Craig Nicholson read the Public Hearing Notice and the abutters list was verified.  Bernard Munro made the presentation for the proposed roadway.  The riverfront/mean annual highwater line had been delineated by Sharon LePorte.  The proposed detention basin is outside the 50’ buffer zone.  Ms. Delaney had concerns with long-term maintenance of the detention basin.  A responsible party should be included in the post-construction Operation and Maintenance Plan.  Mr. Grattan asked if abutters were present and had any comments.  Those that did were:

Donald Howard of 860 Winter Street:  Had comments about Lady Slippers growing in the woods.  Can they be transplanted?
Dwight Howard of 872 Winter Street:  Wanted to look at plan.
An unidentified person from Harvey Circle who was not a direct abutter had concerns with stormwater.

Ms. Delaney suggested that the Board accompany her to inspect the line.  Also, she would like to confer with John Delano, P.L.S. who is the review engineer on this project for the Planning Board.
